Italy during the First World War: Two Sicialian soldiers, Ciccio Coppola and Franco Lo Grugno, are captured by the Austrians and talk about the adventures in which they were involved. They contributed, without planning, to the Italian victory in the first World War, blowing up the enemy's ship by pure coincidence.
